United Way Workplace Giving Recognitions 2016-2017

United Way of Transylvania County has three recognition levels for workplace giving sites:

Gold Level – $5000 or more 
Silver Level – $2,000 to $4,999 
Bronze Level – up to $1999

2016-2017 Gold Level Recipients

2016-2017 Silver Level Recipients


Silver level awards are displayed by (l-r) Justin Hallman for Comporium, David Joyce for Brevard College, Amber Webb for First Citizens Bank, Ken Thomas for Haywood EMC, Jane Stamey for Fifth Third Bank, and Sheila Galloway for Western Carolina Community Action. 2016-2017 Bronze Level Recipients

2016-2017 Outstanding Community Champion

Heather Knox of PNC Bank accepts the Outstanding Community Champion Award for the financial institution’s ongoing and varied support of United Way of Transylvania County.


2016-2017 100 Percent Participation Club

2016-2017 Pace Setter & Team Spirit Awards

Amber Webb displays the Pace Setter Recognition for First Citizens Bank. First Citizens also received a certificate for the Team Spirit Award.


2016-2017 Highest % Increase in Donations

Justin Hallman displays the Highest Percent Increase in Donations Recognition on behalf of Comporium employees.


2016-2017 Workplace 'Heavy Lifters'  & Highest Number of Donors Awards

Jeff McDaris, superintendent of Transylvania County Schools, displays the Workplace ‘Heavy Lifters’ Recognition for the school system.The school system also received recognition for having the Highest Number of Donors.


2016-2017 Highest Average Pledge Amount

David Joyce holds the Highest Average Pledge per Donor Recognition for Brevard College.


2016-2017 Largest $ Increase

Sheila Cozart displays the Largest Dollar Increase Recognitionon behalf of Transylvania County employees.


2016-2017 Highest Donations from a Partner Agency

Shelia Galloway holds the Highest Donations from a United Way Partner Agency Recognition earned by Western Carolina Community Action.


2016-2017 Highest Campaign Amount

Michele Pilon accepts the Highest Total Campaign Recognition on behalf of Transylvania Regional Hospital.

Best New Workplace Campaign

Trudy Pierron accepts the Best New Workplace Campaign Recognition for Brevard Academy.

2016-2017 Volunteer of the Year

Sheila Cozart is Volunteer of the Year for United Way of Transylvania County for her efforts to increase awareness of United Way’s local programs and initiatives.
